Have​ ​you​ ​ever​ ​seen​ ​Häxxan? The​ ​Berlin​ ​/​ ​Tel​ ​aviv​ ​Power-Psych-garage-trio​ ​has​ ​been​ ​scorching​ ​Europe​ ​since​ ​the​ ​release​ ​of their​ ​debut​ ​LP,​ ​​ ​and​ ​E.P​ ​the​ ​trio​ ​decided​ ​to​ ​take​ ​a​ ​trip​ ​to​ ​space​ ​with​ ​their​ ​2nd​ ​LP: ​“The​ ​Magnificent​ ​Planet​ ​of​ ​Alien​ ​Vampiro​ ​Pt.​ ​II",​ ​​ ​to​ ​be​ ​released​ ​on​ ​Slovenly​ ​Recordings. Häxxan​ ​are​ ​a​ ​bottle​ ​rocket,​ ​that​ ​sets​ ​of​ ​every​ ​time​ ​the​ ​trio​ ​meets​ ​each​ ​other,​ ​with​ ​hard-stomp- fuzzy​ ​fireworks,​ ​and​ ​psych​ ​that​ ​can​ ​even​ ​drift​ ​into​ ​the​ ​outskirts​ ​of​ ​70's​ ​prog,​ ​the​ ​power​ ​trio scorches​ ​anyone​ ​that'll​ ​come​ ​across​ ​their​ ​path,​ ​with​ ​their​ ​own​ ​brand​ ​of​ ​Garage-Punk​ ​that​ ​can be​ ​loose​ ​as​ ​space,​ ​thick​ ​as​ ​blood,​ ​and​ ​tight​ ​as​ ​a​ ​stoner​ ​and​ ​his​ ​weed.​ ​expect​ ​to​ ​dance​ ​hard​ ​in your​ ​own​ ​sweat​ ​pool. After​ ​their​ ​debut​ ​LP​ ​followed​ ​by​ ​an​ ​E.P​ ​the​ ​band​ ​toured​ ​all​ ​around​ ​Europe,​ ​and​ ​shared​ ​stages with:​ ​Thee​ ​Oh​ ​Sees,​ ​Ty​ ​Segall,​ ​Meatbodies​ ​etc.

Nach dem wunderbaren Mile-Me-Deaf-Album ALIEN AGE beschert uns der arbeitsfreudige Wahl-Wiener Wolfgang Möstl dieses Jahr bereits das zweite Album mit Eigenbeteiligung, dieses Mal unter dem Moniker Melt Downer. Dahinter verbirgt sich ein Trio, bestehend aus Florian Gießauf (Drums), Mario Zangl (Bass) und eben Möstl (Gitarre). Man kennt sich sehr gut, denn auch Zangl spielt bei Mile Me Deaf und Gießauf war bis 2010 dabei. Stoner- und Noise-Rock wird hier gepaart mit einem Rest von Pop und einer deutlichen Slacker-Attitüde. Der Wut wird regelmäßig freien Lauf gelassen wie auf dem brachialen „Keep Falling Off“.
